yes. but i should be slightly fair here:

the background tiles will not change for 3.5.

why? because it is uninteresting. we could provide the BEST background ever 
and it would still be just............. a background image that gets repeated 
alongthe length of the panel.

let's start looking to kde4 and the new possibilities =)
