[Owncloud] OwnCloud in older Ubuntu

Hello.

I tried hard but couldn't find out how to install OwnCloud CLIENT in
Ubuntu versions older than the 12.04, but there simply aren't OwnCloud
binaries or PPA for that.

If upgrading Ubuntu isn't an option, what is the simplest way of quickly
having it running on earlier Ubuntu versions without getting stuck into
never-ending dependency problems?
