[Owncloud] [Desktop sync client] Develop

Greetings,

I'd like to develop an "end-to-end" security adaptation for the desktop
sync client.

Essentially, all I need is to adapt the sync client to intercept when new
files are to be uploaded/downloaded, so I can do a couple of operations.

Problem is that I find no manual or open code anywhere. Is it available?
And if not, what are the alternatives?
