[Owncloud] bugtracker situation

Cool. Several people are reporting that github issues hinders us,
so let's consider using a different one, or at least using it
differently, right?

In part, free software is good because it's free software and all the
related benefits one gets from that feature.  Otherwise, there are
enough proprietary cloud services and they'd cover everything.  But
ownCloud was worth building... why do you think that is?

It's a common Internet fallacy to make up "common" statements that
no-one ever said, then argue against them!

I doubt anyone would say mere use will improve things and I don't know
where the above quote came from.  For ownCloud to have a positive
effect on Gitorious or Buggenie, their bugs would need to be reported
and so on.  Did that happen?  In other words, where are they in the
bug genie bug tracker or forums?

For my part, I reported the bug genie registration bug that I found,
as best I could (I couldn't report it to their own bug genie because I
couldn't register):

That seems contrary to what several people are expressing in this
discussion, saying it was cut short with things like this

The move to github issues locks some out, as it currently stands,
which seems a poor decision if ownCloud needs more contributors.
Can't a more consensual solution be found, rather than the remaining
contributors pushing forwards alone?

Personally, I don't mind if that's still using github issues, as long
as there's some way for people to interact without entering into a
github contract.  Is there?
