(K)Ubuntu has already pkgs in their archive:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/owncloud-client
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/csync-owncloud
Dupondje's ppa has also the latest released version. Maybe kubuntu-devel,
Jean-Louis Dupond and you can join forces to maintain the pkgs?
