Hi Tim,

you can find junior jobs for ownCloud at our website ( http://owncloud.org/dev/junior-jobs/ ).
If you wan't to help developing the OS X Desktop Client you should talk to Klaas Freitag (called 'dragotin' in our irc channel ).
Regarding to the app store restrictions we can't open source the iOS app at the moment.
