[Owncloud] Apache uses >90% when sync client is running

Hello all,

When running the Owncloud client (1.0.2 on Ubuntu 12.04) to sync 2 dirs
with about 200MB of data, the apache2 process on my server (Owncloud
4.0.2 on Debian) is continually at more than 90% CPU load. It
immediately stops when the client is shut down.
Granted, my 'server' has an ARM CPU that is not exactly a monster, but
the permanent load still appears excessive compared to other workloads
I'm able to run on the machine.

The server's owncloud.log is full with statements like these two:
{"app":"files","message":"getFileId(): file not found in cache
(\/sven\/files\/clientsync\/csync_timediff.ctmp)","level":0,"time":1340036062}
{"app":"files","message":"getFileId(): file not found in cache
(\/sven\/files\/clientsync\/csync_unix_extension*test.ctmp)","level":0,"time":1340036064}

I notice the csync_timediff.ctmp file to intermittently appear in the
synced directories while the client is running.
Is this necessary? It is distracting (couldn't you name it
".owncloud-sync" or similar so that it is at least visually hidden?) and
I wonder about whether always creating and deleting that file may
adversely affect the lifetime of my SSD...

cu, Sven
