Because you are asking. Something that would be very cool is an eBook app and a movie app.
Basically the same as your gallery app but for movies and ebooks (pdfs) It should scan the files for movies and pdfs and show them as nice thumbnails in an app perhaps even grouped in "albums"
If you click on a movie or pdf they are opened in our pdf viewer or an HTML5 movie player.

This should be a very easy GSOC project. Perhaps too easy ;-)
