To run the player in HTML5 mode put this line
solution: "html"

right after
cssSelectorAncestor:'.player-controls',
swfPath:OC.linkTo('media','js'),

in the file apps/media/js/player.js

HTML5 mode doesn't support all formats. E.g. it doesn't play mp3 in Firefox.
