[Owncloud] upgrade/silly question

Hiya

I've been running an owncloud for about 3weeks now and it's been a hit with
all my friends and family who use/abuse my server.

and I've been reading in the last few days that the lastest stable version
is out but I can't seem to find how to upgrade
from different versions I'm running the mysql version and I would hate to
have to lose all the accounts and people files

How easy is it to upgrade? or does it have to have to wiped clean every
time?

really sorry if this a noob question
