some additional note, after uploading some files totalling 29 MB i get 
the following message when coppying a 34.9MB file:

"There is 29.0 MB available, but 34.9 MB is required."


This only happens when the newly added file is larger then the existing 
files present on the webdav share.

when a newly added file is smaller then the totalling amount of files 
present on the webdav share, it will continue without error.

/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini :
post_max_size = 8000M
upload_max_filesize = 2000M

in the browser owncloud/settings/personal.php :
You use 27.7 MB of the available 97.3 MB
