we have this exact same problem. Did you ever get an answer to this?
Also, I am not able to put LDAP users in groups.

Hello,

I've been testing owncloud2 for use in the work and I found a problem.
Enabling LDAP module allows me to login with an LDAP user, but when I want to share a file with another user LDAP, this is not on the list. Appears only local users created with the ownCloudadministrator panel.
Is this a bug or not implemented this feature?
