I would like to keep ownCloud part of the KDE community for the same reasons, 
it is one of the largest free software communities and ownCloud has benefited 
from that in the past and will probably benefit from in the future.

But we do have to make sure we don't become a KDE only app in the eyes of the 
(potential) users and developers.
