Bug ID: 520824
Summary: Mouse edge warping broken on wayland
Classification: Applications
Product: okular
Version First 26.04.1
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
Reporter: CarlosVonEsteban at disroot.org
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
It is as the title says.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log into KDE Plasma Wayland
2. open any document (preferably with many pages)
3. "grab" the page with the mouse and keeping moving the cursor either upwards
or downwards
OBSERVED RESULT
mouse gets stuck on screen edge, as if I weren't trying to scroll the document
any further
EXPECTED RESULT
Same as xorg/X11: The cursor should appear on the opppsite side of the screen,
allowing me, the user, the keep further scrolling the document.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System Arch
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
And before any of you start waxing on about wayland's "security", ydotool can
warp the mouse perfectly fine.
