As of march 2026, the bug still exists in KDE 42 plasma version 6.5.5, Okular
25.12.1, File -> print (print to pdf) -> options -> options greyscale. The
output file remains unchanged.

To be noticed after File -> print, the print dialog takes around 3 secs to
appear.
