Example of PDF causing the issue

I cannot reproduce the issue described above with all PDFs, so I attach here
one particular PDF where I notice the problem. It can be downloaded from
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-plants-merkle-tree-certs/02/ as
well, but for that you need an IETF account to see the PDF button in the
formats list.
