Thanks for confirming, @aacid. Do you have any idea where the problem is coming
from yet? E.g. if the original PDF is somehow broken I could contact the
responsible administration. Or install any missing font packages if something
is missing there.

I'm happy to try out and help debugging as much as I can, since this is urgent
for my work.
