[okular] [Bug 521195] Okular opens large(er) PDF's very slow and it renders the pages partially, most of them remaining blank.

I'm using the .deb packages from debian stable  or self-compiled okular/poppler
master.

Are you reading the pdf from a network share or a local path? I think there was
some optimizations there recently regarding remote files.

I'm on the 'normal' (default) strategy.

It can quickly explode in memory size depending on if the rendered images are
cached for the entire document or not.
