Sorry, I'm not good at reporting, but there is an issue reported on the Flathub
(https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.okular/issues/456) concerning the PCRE
version.

The related source code repository on GitHub
(https://github.com/PCRE2Project/pcre1) appears to be archived.

Is there a plan to move to PCRE version 2?
