So happy that my three year old (unfixed) bug has finally been recognized as a
duplicate of this, meaning the standard paper size bug is now officially
unfixed for closer to five years.
To this day, I go to printer settings and click A4 paper for
EVERY
SINGLE
DOCUMENT
or else I get the weird paper margins for letter format.
