I see the same behavior when  I try to save a pdf on a samba share with the
windows version of okular.
Okular creates a .part file and says that it cannot write the file. In this
case okular does not crash. Saving to a different name works.
The part file contains all changes.
The version is  25.08.1 from the Microsoft store.

Maybe the patch is only added in the linux tree or linux specific?
