Bug ID: 502811
Summary: Text in Textbox is running into handles
Classification: Applications
Product: okular
Version: 24.12.3
Platform: Pop!_OS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: markdown backend
Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
Reporter: rename.spilt579 at addymail.com
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When creating a textbox the text inside is running into the handles for the
textbox, slightly cutting of the edge of the text.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create text box by dragging tool
2. Type in needed text
3. Select the text box so that the drag handles show and you can resize
4. I am using font Open Sans size 12
5. Also affects other fonts in size 12
OBSERVED RESULT
First letter can be partially covered by the drag handles. Up to half the
letter could be covered depending on the size of the text box (if the height of
the text box is very narrow).
EXPECTED RESULT
I would like to see a little more padding (or remove handles and just let
cursor change to arrow so you know you can drag and resize) so that I can still
see the first letter on the left and last letter on the right, when I select
the text box and the drag handles show.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Pop OS 22.04 LTS
Okular Version: 24.12.3
