Writing a nonfiction history book with (mostly) Linux and FOSS

Firefox would load documents in about 1/5th of the time it took Okular to
display the exact same files. Using the search function, Firefox would find the
desired strings more quickly, and it also shows the number of matching entries.
Okular's search was slow, and it does not display how many results it found,
one or ninety-three.
