Rectangle Tool: Add Option to XOR the Colour

SUMMARY
It is sometimes useful to highlight an entire paragraph or segment of text. The
rectangle tool offers a nicer geometry than the Highlighter tool. However, the
color is simply added over, making it more difficult to read due to the poor
contrast. Implementing a XOR-variant of the Rectangle tool (similar to the
Highlighter tool) would improve the visibility of the text.

Note:
The attached pdf document has various Headings which are "embedded" in the main
text (see on page 2 and following pages). This defies the purpose of the
heading (but this is in the scope of the journal)! I used the Rectangle tool to
mark these headings: the geometry is better than with the Highlighter tool.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open attached pdf document
2. See examples on page 1: Highlighter vs Rectangle

OBSERVED RESULT
The text is partly obscured with the Rectangle tool: very poor contrast.

EXPECTED RESULT
Implement option for Rectangle tool that behaves like the Text highlighter: the
colour needs probably to be XOR'ed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note:
The Rectangle tool may also have a nicer geometry with text with superscripts:
e.g. the document contains a lot on expressions like "CD4+", "CD8+", where the
"+" is superscript. Other documents may include references as superscript.
Highlighting an entire paragraph using the Rectangle tool may look nicer in
these instances.
