SUMMARY
Okular never shows a new document from the very top, but always a few pixels
down. This triggers my eye for details. :) I’ve had this „problem“ for many
years now and I’ve come to terms with it (using muscle memory: as soon as the
window appears, I hit page up). But now for the first time, I noticed that this
movement is animated, which induced me to file a report.

I can’t imagine this hasn’t been reported before. I tried searching with
"okular open scroll" or "opening from top" and stuff like this, but didn’t see
something of this sort.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a (PDF?) document in Okular.

OBSERVED RESULT
1. When opened for the first time, the document is not viewed from the very
top, but a few pixels down.
2. When not opened for the first time, the document view is moved down another
increment (I guess due to the remembered viewing position).

EXPECTED RESULT
This movement should not happen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I attach a screen recording of repeatedly opening a document with a
description. Notice the animated scrolling down with each subsequent opening.
In the middle of the recording I switch to one-column view. The scrolling goes
down to a very small amount, but it is still there, as can be seen by the
distance of the mouse cursor to the line of text.
