I'm not the reporter, but I can reproduce this by running okular in IceWM (or
via
"XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=icewm okular" in Plasma).

This is with okular 20.12.1.

Inside a KDE/Plasma session, the filter defaults to "All supported files" as
expected.
