Indeed it doesn't, I get the same dialogue as in okular
$ kde-open5 https://kde.org
Couldn't start kuiserver from org.kde.kuiserver.service:
QDBusError("org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown", "The name is not
activatable")
