  There are a lot of good points in the various posts here -- can they be taken to some of the lists where concrete decisions and actions can be taken? As @jriddell said, it's rather hidden here, but I think pretty important. KDE-community or KDE-devel for some, Distributions or KDE-Packagers for other parts?
  
  For the record, I like the suggestion of KDE Apps Bundle, and spelling out the versioning more for users, if that can be done programmatically.
