Hi Umang,

great to hear you are interested in Okular development.

At least the "showing" part of the project proposal is really mostly work in poppler,
so you may want to familiarize yourself with that. Poppler has a looong list of
open bugs, so certainly there are a few that are suitable to get you started. :-)
One suggestion could be

  https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/issues/461
(Polyline comment beginning and end is not correctly drawn)

That may not appear to be easy at first sight, but a very similar fix can be found in

  https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/merge_requests/106

Tobias, correct me if I am wrong.

Don't hesitate to ask questions if necessary.

Best regards,
Oliver

Some of my key projects include an autocorrect application <https://github.com/umang-malik/autocorrect> in C++ (using Visual Studio for GUI) and SAT solver <https://github.com/tanmayanand44/CS202-Assignments-Fall-2018/tree/master/Assignment2> (using DPLL algorithm).
