Thanks for the update. Great to hear it works with the latest version of
Ghostscript. I'm therefore closing this issue now.

Thanks for the info about the upcoming license change in Ghostscript, I hadn't
heard about this yet (or at least I can't remember...).  Debian testing however
does have version 9.22 in its "main" component and Debian is very strict about
only free software being accepted there. They do repackage the sources,
removing non-free parts (and have been doing so for very long already). I'm not
sure whether that might be an option for other distributions as well...
