The second one really is hard.  The first one is okay AFAICT.
In particular, it does not involve poppler work.

Of course :-)  Searching for the 'annotation' keyword in the bug tracker
gives me 99 hits.  I propose to select a few of those that make sense
to be tackled together.

Similarly for forms, but I guess some of the open issues/wishes there
are just really hard/impossible.

I can do project write-ups, but I cannot mentor.  I simply don't have the
required technical insights.
