As reported in Bug 377299 the situation is somewhat different for me, as it
displays 2 digit page numbers correctly, but fails to display more digits. This
is due to a fixed text box size. It is independent of the window size and
independent of the document, which you view.

An adjustable page number box size would be preferred. If this is not possible,
you might consider increasing the width to, lets say, 6 or 7 digits or so.
