Hi Jeremy,
this is all correct.  However, given the resource situation none of this is
likely to be implemented very soon unless you yourself take some action.  You
could
- send a patch yourself
- get a friend to write a patch and send it
- if you really really need some of these features there are companies that you
can hire to write okular patches.

BTW: Your wishlist items would be easier to track if you opened a separate
report for each item on your wishlist.
