correction the distribution of the working system is opensuse 13.2
the kernel of the working system is 3.16.7-35-desktop

updating from the opensuse site did not fix the problem.
updating with the package from the page https://poppler.freedesktop.org/ 
and installing the package poppler-0.42.0 fixed the problem.
i updated than to poppler-0.43.0 which works also fine.
