Bug ID: 365654
Summary: Search for character or string in a specific font or
style
Product: okular
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
Reporter: kdebugs at equaeghe.nospammail.net
(I mainly have okular as a pdf viewer in mind.)
It would be useful to be able to search a text viewed for a specific character
or string in a specific font or font style. An example of what I would like to
do is find an italic ‘x’, not just any ‘x’. In my example the difference is
just style, upright vs. slanted/italic, but I am certainly also interested in
the capability of having the search procedure being able to take into account
differences in font.
This feature would be especially useful when trying to search a pdf for the
occurrence of a mathematical variable, which is usually denoted in a different
style or font.
Reproducible: Always
