            Bug ID: 359929
Summary: When clicking on a hyperlink to another PDF file,
Okular should open a new window
           Product: okular
           Version: 0.20.3
          Platform: Mageia RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: PDF backend
          Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: dbitouze at wanadoo.fr

Suppose you have a presentation in a `presentation.pdf' PDF file (made
with `Beamer' LaTeX class) and, at some point, you want to open another
`another.pdf' PDF file. It is possible by inserting a button (or, simply an
hyperlink) to this target file.

Now, by contrast to e.g. Evince, Okular opens the another file in the
very same window where `presentation.pdf' was open and this is very
annoying because you cannot continue your presentation when you have
finished with the another file: there is no easy way to come back to
`presentation.pdf', especially at the page it was open.

For this reason, I'm using Evince instead of Okular since years for my
presentations.

Hence, it would be nice for Okular to open linked PDF files in new
windows, or at least to provide an option that lets the user select this
behavior.

Examples of such `presentation.pdf' and `another.pdf' PDF files can be found
here:

http://gte.univ-littoral.fr/members/dbitouze/pub/latex/divers/okular-s-feature-request/another-file/downloadFile/file/another.pdf

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a `presentation.pdf' PDF file (e.g. with LaTeX) that contains a
hyperlink to an`another.pdf' PDF file.
2. Open `presentation.pdf' with Okular.
3. Click on the hyperlink.

Actual Results:
The `another.pdf' PDF file is open in the same window where `presentation.pdf'
was open.

Expected Results:
The `another.pdf' PDF file is open in distinct window from the one where
`presentation.pdf' is open.
