The article displayed on the left and right sides are
L: Phys. Rev. Lett. 23 1430 (a scanned document)
R: Phys. Rev B 88 104509 (electronically generated)

On the top row, trim margin is off, whereas it is on on the bottom row.
On previous versions of okular, the trim margins function used to work on both.
