Works ok on fedora 20 (I chose "No" when asked about presentation mode), with:

$ rpm -q okular poppler
okular-4.13.2-1.fc20.x86_64  (app about menu reports version 0.19.2)
poppler-0.24.3-3.fc20.x86_64

Takes a couple of seconds to open though, I suspect it may have to do with its
background.
