- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Viewing a PDF file (gazing helplessly at the Intel Software Development Manual,
to be precise).
- Custom settings of the application:
Nothing special. I recently compiled a git clone of Okular and Ubuntu just
updated some KDE libs.
Qt and KDE were not compiled from source.

I should also mention that not all expected functionality was available (so
perhaps the compiled version was installed as an alt-version or something).
