This issue is present for me in KDE 4.8.4 (Debian Wheezy). Despite selecting
greyscale printing in Okular's options, I get a color printout. Other programs
like LibreOffice print in greyscale just fine, so it's definitely not a problem
with the printer driver.
Bug 252596 only talks of printing to pdf, but for me the problem is (also)
present when printing on paper. if both issues have the same cause, maybe bug
252596 could be modified to make it clear that the issue exists both for
printing to pdf and printing on paper?
