I attached a log from valgrind doing something along the same lines I did the
times it crashed. However, this time it didn't crash. 

I usually start okular with this shell script: 

   export KDEDIRS=/home/berny/devel/install:$(kde4-config --prefix);
kbuildsycoca4
   /home/berny/devel/install/bin/okular

The only way I have now been able to crash okular (reproducably) was by
starting okular without this shellscript, but i guess that is a different
story. Also, the crash then occured when opening files. I could, however,
provide such an output from valgrind if it should be of interest.

Anything else I can do to help?
