            Bug ID: 313068
Summary: No error messages when configured editor cannot be
                    started (when using synctex)
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: okular
           Version: 0.14.3
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: PDF backend
          Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: elmar at zandere.de

When the editor you configured for use with synctex cannot be started you
currently get no error message. If you klick Shift+LMB just nothing happens. It
would be nice if you, as a user, were informed why nothing is happening. E.g.
when the .sync.gz file is missing a message box "Error: synctex file is
missing. OK" or when the editor could not be started something like "Error:
Kile could not be started. Reason: file not found...". This is not high
priority, but I think, it would be a five-minute fix, if you know where to look
for in the code.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See Details.
Actual Results:
Nothing.

Expected Results:
Give me an error message.
