I do have Trim Margins enabled, and unchecking it makes the PDF display
correctly.

Though it is a mystery to me how that box got checked. I am quite certain I
didn't check it myself. Is it perhaps turned on by default? I can see that it
is a useful option to have, but it certainly confused me when I didn't know
what was going on.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the help, and sorry for the noise.
