I do not know what you mean by UI. I have 2 machines identical : in one it was
printing pdf files on the other not. I the one with okular not able to print I
ran okular from a konsole and I collected an error message with no meaning but
related to "lpr". Then I checked wich packages linked to "lpr" were present in
one computer and not in the other. This is how I found the proposed fix.
