Yes I do see a pop-out dialog:
"
The window "Okular" is not responding. It belongs to the application okular
(Process ID = 28834, hostname = localhost).
Do you wish to terminate the application process including all of its child
windows?
Any unsaved data will be lost.
"
And a "Terminate Application" button, which I click to turn off the
application. (BTW there's also a cancel button.)

The following is  what I got after running it in gdb, I dragged my pdf file to
the window, and it hangs there.

So there I had to turn it off. I see it wants to install
okular-debuginfo-4.8.5-2.4.1.i586, does it mean I shall install it to see
what's happening? 

As for lib poppler, I pulled them from YaST2, you see some Chinese characters.
保留 means reserve, The first line PDF 渲染库 - GLib 封装 means 'PDF renderer library
- GLIB package' but I bet you are familiar with this anyway.
