I think one of the reasons this is one of the most hated bugs is that initially
for the user it looks like this is a useful feature, then he spends hours using
it before noticing that there is no way to get the annotations either printed
or exported in a format usable by anybody else.
I just spent an hour reviewing a document and making tens of annotations to it.
"Oh, Okular has an annotation feature, how nice". Now I learn that that was
entirely wasted effort and I need to type all those same things separately into
email.
How annoying. Really, if you cannot consider adding a suitable warning before
someone uses the annotation features, I would very much have preferred there
being no annotation features at all compared to this. Now it's misleading and
leads to hours of wasted effort.
