Philipp, can I suggest that you report that upstream to the synctex developers?
My understanding is that there is a new version 1.16 that already tries to fix
this. It would be a shame if your fix would conflict with that. From okular's
perspective, I think we want to use upstream synctex unchanged so will probably
wait until a newer synctex version is available (this is not my call of course
but that of the okular maintainer).
