Software development is a form of engineering. Deciding if you implement a
feature or not is an enginnering decision therefore.

What you explained now only reinforces what I have said above.

In my opinion such decision should never be made like this... but well, we
don't have to agree with each other.

I guess you could as well close this bug with a WONTFIX if things stand like as
you say.
