So how does a user know if okular rotates because of the relation width to
hight or because of embedded rotate info ?
this is trial and error - not really suitable for business use - 
unfortunatly the only way to avoid stress with printing - especially large and
mixed  documents - is setting acroread or evince as default app for pdf files.
IMHO at least the distro should do this until it's fixed.
(I am on OpenSuSE 11.3 , KDE 4.5.2 and QT 4.7 ...)
