Summary: Okular: Overview list of search results
           Product: okular
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: okular-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: Warp_7 at gmx.de

Version: (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Though KDE4's way of a bottom search bars are to some extent better than KDE3's
style of floating dialogues, Okular is missing one important feature concerning
search:
It can become quite tedious to search through a document of 100s of pages,
which may contain the keyword at lots of places.

It would be great if Okular could show all search results in an overview list,
where the user can click on each item to jump to the respective position in the
document. Said list could be placed as another item in the navigation pane and
be invoked by a button on the bottom search bar.

As a possible goodie that springs to mind is to incorporate the document
structure into the results, i.e. get a treeview similar to this (notice that
chapters without results don't show up):

Document chapter 1
  + Result 1 in chapter 1
  + Result 2 in chapter 1
Document chapter 3
  Document chapter 3.2
    + Result 1 in chapter 3.2

Cheers
